Using Design Thinking and Project Based Learning, students become the innovators of the future. Learn how to use circuitry, coding, and imagination with littleBits to have your students design and code prototypes to create personalized learning experiences for younger schoolmates to support their learning. Also, gain insight to the computer science pathways our school has worked to implement K-8th grade.

Learning Outcome #1
At the end of my presentation, participants will learn how design thinking can be used in creating a personal learning experience for another student through building with classroom materials, littleBits circuitry, and block coding a game. Participants will be able to see how listening skills, empathy, and creativity combine to create a unique learning game that other students can play.

Learning Outcome #2
At the end of my presentation, participants will be able to propose ideas for a project based learning experience for their schools with the idea of combining a maker's space feel, with technology and coding capabilities. Participants will gain insight into developing their own learning opportunities for students to grow as an innovational designer.

ISTE Standard for students: 4 - Innovative Designer (4a-4d)
