Integrating Educational Technology in the Redeveloped CalTPA, Pre-service Teacher Support

The Commission’s newly redeveloped California Teaching Performance Assessment (CalTPA) will begin full implementation in the summer/fall of 2018. The redeveloped CalTPA will require, based on the updated Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs), that all teacher candidates demonstrate that they are able to integrate educational technology, in their lesson planning, instruction, and assessments, within their student teaching or intern teacher placement.

Learning Outcome #1
Participants will develop an understanding of the redeveloped CalTPA, how educational technology is integrated in the updated Teaching Performance Expectations. (TPEs)

Learning Outcome #2
Participants will learn about the up and coming technology support workshops that will be available to teacher candidates, university faculty, school district master and supervising teachers.
