Description
Learn how focusing on students connects teacher and coach in a unified purpose. Experience components of a student-centered coaching cycle by analyzing authentic student work which will then be used to identify learning targets and instructional practices. Finally, hone your coaching moves after delving into a case study student.

Learning Outcome #1
Participants will understand the value of using student work and data to drive coaching cycles rather than focusing on teacher moves.

Learning Outcome #2
Participants will analyze student data to develop instructional practices linked to learning targets. They will hone their coaching moves by pinpointing specific strategies and tools to best support a case study student.

Standards
ISTE Standards for Coaching: #2 Teaching, learning, and assessments: Technology coaches assist teachers in using technology effectively for assessing student learning, differentiating instruction, and providing rigorous, relevant, and engaging learning experiences for all students. #3 Digital age learning environments: Technology coaches create and support effective digital age learning environments to maximize the learning of all students.
