Design Thinking is a process that fosters student innovation and ownership. Workshop attendees will learn meaningful ways to address simple and complex problems in their environment with time to practice questioning techniques, clarify ideas, and take charge of problem solving across their K-12 curriculum.

Learning Outcome #1
At the end of my session, workshop participants will see examples of DT in action, practice the specific steps, get and give feedback, and feel more comfortable participating in and facilitating Design Cycles.

Learning Outcome #2
Workshop participants will walk out with knowledge of an issue DT could address in their environment and a vision of ways the technique could be applied for the greater good.

ISTE.6a-Foster a culture where students take ownership of their learning goals and outcomes in both independent and group settings. ISTE.6c-Create learning opportunities that challenge students to use a design process and computational thinking to innovate and solve problems.

Empathy and Design Thinking drive the work I do with students. When we give them the right tools, their curiosity and creativity shines. Let's talk so we can find ways to make your own ideas a reality.
