Confucious said, "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." Empowering the student into doing the learning, this session models 6 powerful Math EDUProtocols follow Madeline Hunter's lesson planning components that transfers the action into the students hands.

Learning Outcome #1
Empowering teachers with lesson protocols to utilize regardless of the content will save them time, while the teacher's experience the transfer of the "doing" of the learning from them to the students. Teacher are empowered as true facilitators of student learning through these powerful content agnostic structures.

Learning Outcome #2
Understanding that these structures are language based, teachers and students will explore mathematics as a language learner, utilizing these tools allows learners to access and make sense of the mathematical language.

Common Cores Standards for Mathematical Practice 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8. This session's content is specific to 3.NF to 5.NF common core standards for Number and Operations (Fractions), and the structures are applicable to any grade level and any math content.
