Description
Kids often think, “If it’s online, it’s mine!” But in a copy/paste culture, how do we teach kids to respect others’ ideas and work...while encouraging creativity? Come explore intellectual property rights and responsibilities!

Learning Outcome #1
Participants will understand both the options and boundaries of copyright, fair use, and Creative Commons.

Learning Outcome #2
Participants will leave with strategies, resources, and lessons for guiding and empowering students to legally and ethically remix and create content.

Standards
ISTE Digital Citizen: 2c - Students demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the rights and obligations of using and sharing intellectual property.
