Description
Great PD is Great PD! But have you ever been bored in a PD workshop? Join a community of learners to see what it takes to create engaging, inspiring and relevant professional learning no matter the topic, device or app. Facilitators can achieve this but must be intentional in their workshop design.

Learning Outcome #1
Attendees will be able to discern and articulate the elements of effective professional development including relevancy of topic to teaching and learning; the purpose for and ways of ensuring group engagement; articulating clear purposes/outcomes for the PD; the rationale for and methods of creating an inclusive culture within the PD; and the need to offer ongoing support and future connection between presenter and attendees.

Learning Outcome #2
Attendees will be able to apply their new learning by considering past or future presentations and how they can modify their content, processes, and or structure of the presentations to include new approaches and tools presented in this presentation.

Standards
Learner: Set professional learning goals to explore and apply pedagogical approaches made possible by technology and reflect on their effectiveness. The standard will be addressed by having participants grapple with their new learnings from this presentation and connect it to past or future presentations they have done/will do.
