Description
Create “Forrest Gump” moments--lessons that intertwine students’ lives with historic events just as Forrest’s life played out on the stage of U.S. History. Participants in this session will be provided with classroom strategies to transform their lessons to hook students and put them as the main characters in the curriculum.

Learning Outcome #1
Design lessons and activities that put their student into the history curriculum/content to support the learning objectives

Learning Outcome #2
Use technology tools/apps (BreakoutEdu, Adobe Spark Video, Google Slides, Skype Tours, Google Tour Creator, etc…) to support student learning of the content/objectives

ISTE STUDENT STANDARD 3: KNOWLEDGE CONSTRUCTOR Students critically curate a variety of resources using digital tools to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and make meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others.
