Description
Searching for ways students can demonstrate mastery beyond a multiple-choice test? Science shows that visual imagery is a powerful tool, encouraging our brains to retain and process information. How can the creation of visuals be leveraged to enhance student communication of ideas and learning? Come play and create as we discuss visual learning for all ages and in any content area!

Learning Outcome #1
We will play with a variety of tools as attendees create their own visuals. The goal will be for attendees to learn and practice techniques while experiencing the scaffolded process I use with my students.

Learning Outcome #2
Understand strategies for deployment in the classroom and develop ideas so that the educators can confidently implement visual learning with their students.

Standards
Empowered Learner - "students leverage technology to take an active role in choosing, achieving, and demonstrating competency in their learning goals, informed by the learning sciences."
