Digital citizenship is more that just learing about online safety. Basic online behavior tips and privacy setting lessons are no longer enough. In an era of fake news and increasingly political polarization, it’s time for teachers to move beyond online safety and teach students Media and Information Literacy! This session will provide the participants with grade level open educational resources that address how students: Access, Evaluate, Integrate, Originate, and Use Media and Information safely, ethically, and legally.

Learning Outcome #1
Participants will see real examples of student learning and formative assement implementation.

Learning Outcome #2
Participants will have free access to OERs that provided lesson plans, and online assements of learning using Google Form and Drive.

ISTE Student Standards: Empowered Learner, Digital Citzen, Knowledge Constructor, Global Collaboartor
