While we can’t take unlimited field trips with our students, we can ignite their curiosity and desire to explore the world through virtual tour design. Students can immerse themselves into different cultures and communities as they embark on their journey to becoming more global citizens.

Learning Outcome #1
Participants will look at examples of student work from a World Language classroom, where students created and shared virtual tours. In these examples, students travel to different countries, explore important landmarks, and showcase a variety of cities. By the end of the poster session, participants will be able to design a project in which students create an interactive virtual tour around the globe through the use of Google Tour Creator and Tour Builder.

Learning Outcome #2
In addition to creating immersive virtual tours, participants will learn different ways students can share virtual tours to a larger, more global community.

As an empowered learner, students leverage technology to design and create their own virtual tour. As global collaborators students share their work with other students around the globe engaging in a cultural exchange that broadens their view of the world.
