Description
Have you spent some time wondering how all these awesome devices are really supposed to be used in the Classroom to address the Common Core standards? In this hands-on session we’ll dig into the Common Core ELA standards to see where technology is required or supports instruction, then we’ll collaborate on ideas that can be applied across grade levels.

Learning Outcome #1
At the end of my session participants will be conversant in how CCSS requires and/or supports the use of technology to meet ELA standards and how to tell the difference between tech-required and tech-supported kind of standards-based demands.

Learning Outcome #2
At the end of my session participants will have a variety of tools, strategies, and audience-created lesson activities they can use to guide students in choosing their own tools to show they have addressed or mastered the standard.

Standards
CCSS ELA Anchor Standards: Reading 7; Writing 6 & 8; Speaking & Listening 2 & 5
