Description
This session will guide teachers through the creation of science experiments and simulations Using Scratch. Participants will create a computer program that will produce different results, depending on user-input. These tasks address ISTE, Math, and Next Generation Science Standards. The authentic tasks involve design thinking and problem-solving skills.

Learning Outcome #1
Learners will create computer-based simulations that address the Next Generation Science Standards

Learning Outcome #2
Learners will describe ways to evaluate student-created simulations best suited to their learners' skills and grade-level standards

Standards
Educators design authentic, learner-driven activities and environments that recognize and accommodate learner variability. (ISTE Standard for Educators #5)
