Barboza Space Center’s Student Mars Robot Showcase Fellowships (Poster 1)
Description
Students receive fellowships from the Barboza Space Center to design, build, operated and repair robots, Martian habitats and science lab prototypes for the Occupy Mars Learning Adventures. Students intern for the Barboza Space Center and respond to (RFP’s) request for proposals.

Learning Outcome #1
Teachers and students will learn how to apply for STEAM++ Occupy Mars Learning Adventures Fellowship Programs. Student will learn how to build robots that can compete at the World Robot’s Competitions in Beijing, China in 2019.

Learning Outcome #2
Students and teachers will learn how we use STEAM++ Graphic Organizers to build robots. We will share how we use Hyperduino to showcase the Occupy Mars Learning Adventures Fellowship Program and how we use ePortfolios.

Standards
ISTE Standards for Administrators As educational administrators our goals are to inspire and lead development and implementation of a shared vision for comprehensive integration of technology to promote excellence and support transformation throughout the Barboza Space Center. We are demonstrating how we inspire, engage and advocate for space science through STEAM++ project-based learning.

Going Places with Green Screen! (Poster 4)
Description
Redefine lessons and projects using the Doink Green Screen app! Give students voice and choice by allowing them to be in the African jungle during a newscast or sit in the Oval Office while giving their presidential speech. All things possible with this easy to use transformational Doink Green Screen app!

Learning Outcome #1
Participants will learn the basic steps to create green screen projects with their students.

Learning Outcome #2
Participants will know how to find samples of and resources for curriculum-based green screen activities.

Standards
ISTE Standards for Students- Creative Communicator 6a. Students choose the appropriate platforms and tools for meeting the desired objectives of their creation or communication.

VR in the Classroom: Exploring the Curriculum with Google Expeditions (Poster 2)
Description
Drop by and see how we use VR in the classroom using Google Expeditions to get outside the four walls of the learning space and help students relate and connect more deeply and completely to the curriculum they are learning by using virtual reality as part of our STEAM program.

Learning Outcome #1
Participants will learn the basics of using VR with students including required equipment, searching Google Expeditions for content, and classroom strategies for implementation.

Learning Outcome #2
Participants will understand the difference between “leading” and “following” an Expedition as well as using background information and differentiated questions provided within the application.
