Instructional Technology Facilitator
Greater Los Angeles Area
Let's shine a spotlight on Michelle Touceda, the heart and soul of education in Los Angeles! With a solid two decades-plus in the Los Angeles Unified School District, Michelle, now rocking the role of Instructional Technology Facilitator, started as a passionate English teacher for grades 6-12 in South Gate. In the mix, she took on various roles - tech coach, co-author of both a Small Learning Community and a Public Service Magnet, Union co-chair, and English Department Chair.
Her achievements? Well, she's been LAUSD Teacher of the Year, got that Google Certified Educator Level 2 badge, and wears the hats of a Common Sense Certified Educator, LEGO Education Ambassador, and ISTE Certified Educator. Oh, and when the pandemic hit, she played a part in creating the Distance Learning Educators social media presence.
Currently, Michelle's doing her thing on the Board of Directors for CUE Los Angeles. With a BA and MA in English from California State University, Long Beach, she's the kind of educator who makes waves with humility and a touch of tech brilliance. In the world of education, Michelle Touceda is quietly leaving an impressive mark.
